Control Center Roles and Permissions

Boomi Cloud API Management users have role-based access to resources such as API Definitions, Portal Access Groups, Packages, and Interactive Documentation in a specific organization. Based on the roles assigned for your account, you can view and modify the Control Center resources within the Boomi Cloud API Management area.

The following table includes the list of Boomi Cloud API Management roles and their permissions.

RolePermissions
Administrator

Has access to all screens.

Note: You must be an Area-level Administrator to import an API definition from a Swagger file. Refer to Importing API Definition Files for more information.

API Manager

Has access to API settings:

1. Manage > Domains

2. Manage > Scheduled Maintenance

3. Design > APIs

4. Design >Packages

5. Design > Notification Templates

6. Design > Response Filters

Call Inspector Administrator

Has access to all capabilities in Call Inspector, including turning on call logging and viewing call logs (Analyze > Call Inspector).

Note: Only available where Call Inspector is enabled.

Call Inspector User

Has access to view call logs within Call Inspector (Analyze > Call Inspector).

Note: Only available where Call Inspector enabled.

Community Manager

Has access to the following screens:

1. Manage > Community

2. Manage > Users

3. Analyze > Reports

They cannot assign administrative roles, but can create and assign custom roles.

(Analyze: Executive Summary, Reports; Manage: Community, Users, Apps, Keys, Custom Roles )

Content ManagerHas access to Content Management (Manage > Content).
Organization User

Allows an Organization Administrator to assign a user to a given Organization. From there, additional permissions can be applied to the user. The Organization user role grants Organization Administrator rights.

Portal Manager

Has access to Portal Settings and Content Management.

3. Design > Interactive Documentation

(Analyze: Executive Summary, Reports; Manage: Content, Community, Users, Applications, Keys, Custom Roles)

Program Manager

Has access to the following screens:

1. Analyze > Executive Summary

2. Analyze > Reports

3. Manage > Content

4. Manage > Community

5. Manage > Users

6. Manage > Applications

7. Manage > Keys

8. Manage > Portal Access Groups

Can create and assign Portal Access Groups owned by this organization and can assign keys to plans owned by this organization.

Cannot assign administrative roles.

Service User

Allows only service-level access to Boomi Cloud API Management PAPI (Platform API).

Refer to Managing User Access Settings for more information.

Note: Adding a Service User role to a user's account removes all other administrative roles once the setting is saved.

Support User

Has read-only access to all pages in the Boomi Cloud API Management dashboard. Buttons (such as Save, Create, Edit, and Delete) and various fields (such as checkboxes and text boxes) are disabled for support users.

Note: Legacy pages are not shown to support users.

Reports User

Has access to Reports:

2. Analyze > Reports
